The Emerald Home - London
Project overview:
Blending Tradition with Modernity in London
"The Emerald Home" in London is a perfect embodiment of modern English design. Drawing inspiration from the brilliant charm of the emerald gemstone, the space radiates a unique blend of charm that is both timeless and contemporary. Spread across a spacious area of approximately 100 m2 on the ground floor, careful consideration has been given to the division of the space to cater to various functionalities.
The ground floor seamlessly houses a diverse range of zones. These include a welcoming living space, a dining area, a bar area, a semi-private retreat, and a home office. The architectural brilliance is evident in the subtle details, where columns, typically seen as intrusive in many designs, have been artfully hidden within the wall partitions and the TV wall. This thoughtful integration ensures a smooth, uninterrupted flow, enhancing the spaciousness of the area.
A dominant visual feature that stands out in the design is the extensive use of green marble. This choice not only aligns with the emerald-inspired theme but also adds a touch of luxury, elevating the aesthetic appeal of the space. Complementing this material palette is the curated selection of furnishings. The space showcases pieces from a collection of luxury furniture brands like Essential Home, Henge, Enne, Luxxu, Paolo Castelli, Fendi Casa, Minotti, Restoration Hardware RH, Mezzo, among others.
While the design philosophy leans towards the modern, there is an unmistakable echo of traditional English homes. This blend of classical elements with modern aesthetics results in a space that offers both comfort in its familiarity and excitement in its modern touch.
